Just Sold in The Nations
The Nations, the up-and-comer of West Nashville, continues to show why it’s as hot as any Middle Tennessee neighborhood. As an HPR-Attached, this home sold at an aggressive price. It stands out among other new builds in that it has a bonus room, perfect for a second living area or WFH office. The finishes were expertly selected by designer Peggy Neuman during construction. Congrats to my sellers. I’m thankful for those who entrust me to help sell their home for top dollar.

My Books of 2020
Nonfiction wins again. I promised to read a novel in 2021 and I’ve gotten some recommendations worth checking out.
Washington: A Life taught me the most.
Most surprising read was Ride of a Lifetime by Bob Iger.
I think everyone trying to sell should read Donald Miller’s Building A Storybrand.
Revolving Doors Allow 8x Less Air Exchange Than Regular Swinging Doors
I know that’s some odd knowledge to drop on this blog. The 99% Invisible Podcast has been around for a DECADE and I’m just now diving into it. It’s kind of nice actually, not having to wait for new episodes. This one from 2013 talks about the science of revolving doors. If you’re into architecture and why the world is designed the way it is then I think you’ll like this.
JUST LISTED | Bellevue Condo
Located in the heart of Bellevue near Publix and dozens of restaurants, this 2 bed/2 bath condo features exposed beams along vaulted ceilings, updated tile, and a private fenced backyard. Tax Increase By Zip
As we stare down a tax increase AND reappraisal (2021), The Nashville Business Journal broke down the largest increases in property taxes before and after the previous reappraisal in 2017. Let’s take a look:

Just steps from East Nashville staples like Cafe Roze and Southern Grist is this 1930’s 3 bed/ 2bath cottage. Wood floors throughout, fireplace, great backyard, and a front porch you won’t want to leave. I’d say this one will get multiple offers. Reach out and let’s create an offer that can’t be ignored.

Housing Market Sees First Increase in 3 Months
From Greater Nashville Realtors:
“For the first time in three months, the market shows strong signs of stabilizing,” said Kristy Hairston, Greater Nashville Realtors president. “A 0.5 percent increase from last year is exciting and shows us that our buyer’s housing demand is strong. While it’s apparent the uncertainty of the last few months affected the market during the second quarter, we see that trend changing.”
The median home sale price for Middle TN grew to $331,448. Increased prices can be attributed to another month of low inventory. It’s a great time to be selling.
10 Things You’ll Love About Nashville
I love living in Nashville, TN. After moving to the city in 2007, made my way to East Nashville in 2009 and haven’t looked back. It’s hard to describe how much the city has changed in the last 10 years. It’s mind-boggling, actually. And for the most part I freaking love it. Here is a list- in no particular order- of what you’ll love about Music City.
Nashville’s booming food scene is no longer secret.
Websites like Eater provide commentary on the openings and closings, the best and the disappointing. Downtown, East Nashville, Sylvan Park, West Nashville, Germantown, Hillsboro, and Green Hills all have a TON of great places to eat and drink. It’s certainly fun to check out the new places, but still really important to support the O.G’s.
Nashville Business Journal’s Crane Watch is The Best
Most of the last few years, Nashville-area has had more cranes than many of the country’s largest metros. Keeping up with what’s-going-where seems never ending. The massive projects did not budge during Coronavirus.
Which Suits You?
I moved to East Nashville in 2009 and have lived in all 3 of its zip codes. I love the old homes, the creative new construction, the people, restaurants, and community. Clients have fallen in love with 12 South, Germantown, Nations, Sylvan Park and so many neighborhoods in between. Curious about a neighborhood? Let me know!
Parks and Trails That Connect Us
A Greenway is described as linear parks and trails that join neighborhoods to schools, parks, transportation, and work. I’ve spent hours on Shelby Bottoms Greenway along the Cumberland River. During quarantine I finally got to spend a lot of time running loops at Cornelia Fort Airpark, which is a key piece of Shelby Park.
Had To List It
OK, so I don’t go down there much anymore, but there was a time… For many tourists, it’s all they know about Nashville. My favorite? Robert’s.
World Class Waterfalls and Swimming Holes
Within 90 minutes of Nashville there are truly breathtaking spots for hiking. On one of our first dates, Tara and I played hooky and spent a weekday at Cummins Falls. 10/10 would recommend (long weekends and holidays can be jam packed).
Music City Has Live Music. Got it.
But it’s not ALL country. And it isn’t JUST the Ryman (though, the Ryman is the freaking best). The small venues make Nashville truly special. Station Inn just might be my favorite.
Strong Market and More To Come
Entertainment is big business in Nashville, but so is Tech and Health Care. Plus, Amazon plans to hire 5,000+ for the fancy new Nashville Yard towers.
You Name It, We Got It (almost)
Three major pro sports, college athletics, a gigantic rock’n marathon, triathlon, and even pig racing at the Wilson County Fair.

CLEVELAND PARK IS ON FIRE
This East Nashville neighborhood is attracting some of the absolute best places to eat & drink anywhere in the city. Congrats to my fun first-time home buyers on their new adventure. This 3 bed | 2 bath is less than a half mile from my favorite places; Folk, Redheaded Stranger, Wilburn Street Tavern, and Sean Brock’s forthcoming Audrey. Closing out 2019 in Brentwood and Murfreesboro
Bye, 2019! New Nashvillians landed on Old Hickory Blvd. in Brentwood for their first home here. To show that it isn’t just the urban core that remains hot, this townhouse was part of a multiple offer situation with my buyers winning out. Meanwhile, a friend and his family are moving to over an acre in Murfreesboro! Complete with two car garage, multiple sheds, and lots of land for a wild toddler to run free.
